A Warm Hat – A Fundraiser for Winter Hats

Thanks to everyone that made a contribution towards our A Warm Hat fundraiser. Because of your generosity we were able to purchase 100 sets of winter clothing. Each set contained a winter hat, winter gloves, and a pair of winter socks.

With the colder temperatures upon us and winter weather just around the corner, it’s important to remember that not everyone has a safe warm home to live in. This winter will be exceptionally challenging, as many organizations and service providers have had to limit the number of guests they can accommodate due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

We wanted to do something quick and meaningful to help our vulnerable neighbours keep warm this winter. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase some winter hats (and maybe gloves and/or socks too!), which we will donate to organizations and shelters in St. John’s to distribute to those that need them most.

Any money that is raised over and above our original goal will be used to purchase additional winter clothing. 100% of the money raised from this fundraiser will be used to purchase winter hats, gloves, and socks for donation.
